I think a sequel to the novel or at least the movie adaptation is desperately needed. There has never been a time in history where a sequel to that specific novel and its film adaptation should be developed and released for our entertainment.

I haven't seen the movie, but having read the book, I am in no rush.
The Shining was a good book. In my opinion, the sequel sucked.
Nice to know that somebody out there thought this was good enough to make something more out of it.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Most people really enjoyed the film. There is definitely more he could add to the overall story. Like more about these parasitic psychic vampires that invade the mind of people that have psychic abilities in order to feed off their energy and that little black girl protecting other psychics from these psychic vampires. Nobody likes their mind being invaded. There is an entire mythology Mr King could develop if he wanted.

All I know is that The Shining started out as a good ghost story involving a family on shaky ground in their personal lives.
Dr. Sleep took it to another level and in a strange direction that I didn't care for.
Nice to know that you and others enjoyed it.

No I wasn't being sarcastic about this. I honestly believe that there should be a sequel. I was thinking of writing to Mr King about this. My motive isn't to pitch an idea for money. I just wanted to chat with him. I doubt if he would take me seriously but I was going to try anyway. I should have written that review when he asked his Twitter followers. Instead I totally chickened out.
