Well, keeping it short and sweet is better than needlessly padding it out.
Alas, I refuse to give one cent of my money to Amazon, so I'll have to wait until this show is available through another streaming service or I can rent the disks. Which means I have to cross my fingers and hope I can avoid spoilers for a year or two. . . .

cool, but sucks that it's just 6 episodes… are u sure the season is not divided into 2 parts, just like they did with Ozark etc?

It’s only six episodes. I was cast as the pink alien at the end of the trailer so I’m 100% sure.
A new network may pick up the show for the final three books, however.

The final three books are 25-30 years in the future so they may have to recast all the actors. It centers on the alien worlds and the race that wiped out the protomolecule.
