This was better than any movie about Krampus had any right to be.

Great cinematography, great sound design, great music.
And, even though some moments have a lot of frenetic action, I was always able to follow what was going on. Plus the humor worked when it needed to. Suck on that, Transformers movies! -

Sounds pretty mediocre if you only gave it a 6(
there is no such thing as a point in this kind of rating
) out of 10. I gave it a 9 out of 10. Not perfect, but a cracking horror comedy with a great Christmas movie feel to it. -

Honestly, loved it. Echoing what others have said. I also went through the Krampus Maze at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando which may have helped add to my love for it. But thought the critters were original and creepy. The cast was actually fantastic. I couldn't believe it when the movie started. I love Toni Collette and think Adam Scott is great with those neutral roles where he can reel back the comedy and just be Joe Blow. And agreed it didn't take itself too seriously so the funny parts were well placed and appropriately funny.
It may follow a formula a little but isn't that the case with all holiday movies? Lol
Definitely a new tradition. -

Better than any movie about Krampus had any right to be, I agree. I was really surprised. It's not just a cheap horror film, it I wish I could explain it better, how it has character, insight, is funny, and when it comes on the movie channels I can understand why it has 3/4 stars; it deserves it.

It's become a Christmas staple for me.
Funny that it's a fun horror comedy, yet still manages to get across the spirit and meaning of Christmas. Love it.
I'd rather get this from an unconventional Christmas movie than some sappy Christmas rom com. I like adventure, laughs, and scares with my Christmas spirit. -

The first time I saw it was in a theater filled with a bunch of kids and I think it really affected my outlook on the movie. Me and my ex were two of the oldest people there. The tweens just didn't seem to get the jokes. As a result, I thought it was… ok.
Fast-forward several years later, and I pop this on. 2020, maybe 2021. I love offbeat Christmas movies and wanted to give it another shot. I liked it much more.
I put it on last night while sipping on some wine. I forgot a lot of the jokes, which is a good thing when it comes to comedies imo, and loved it. I laughed my ass off.
It's got great visuals and mythology too. Everything around Krampus was great. Krampus himself, his minions, etc. The mix of practical effects and (good) CGI was perfect. This movie looks better than many big studio action flicks.
It's scary and dark too!
I will watch this every year or two now.
