I would have been sooooo happy if they had brought in John Glover, he was masterful in that role. But nonetheless it was satisfying for them to keep with Lionel as the Luther Patriarch name.

In the Comics, Lex's father was named Jules at first, then the comics changed it Lionel. The Lex Sr. name in the movies was a cop-out/or way out because of fear of the possible backlash from the fans about Lex's portrayal.

No Jesse played Lex Luthor JR. The film said multiple times that Lex Luthor SR was his father and in the file print that came with the ultimate collection cut BVS they had the Luthor tree and the grandfather was Lionel.

            That doesn't even make sense.

I liked that they used Lionel as the Father's name, however I didn't like that Lex was shown as a Brunette. He should have been a red-head.

Was a nice touch. Lionel Luthor was one of the best characters from 'Smallville'.

I'm a huge Smallville fan so that and mentioning that Clark and Lex used to be friends made me happy.

i liked it, but the actual guy they had playing him looked more like a bodyguard than what i imagined Lionel Luthor to be.
I used to be indecisive. Now, I'm not so sure.
