It has been verified by deadites.net, those guys Always pick up the early scoop. It's the official synopsis so yes, this is what's going to happen, but naturally there are A LOT of blanks to fill in.
If they do this, Ash will no longer be the promised one and Apple will have consumed medieval times and todays reality would be a giant graveyard (IF they follow the butterfly effect as they should). For all we know they lock up Ash so he can't go to the cabin, the rest of them still goes and his sister becomes the promised one. -

Since they can't refer to AOD, oklet's skip medival times. Fact remains that Ash would have never fought the Evil Dead and is not the promised one today.
Biggest question : Do they just hide Ash from the bookor hide the book ? In the first case, the horror of The Evil Dead will probably still happen with other people. -

I'm guessing as it will be really hard to find stand-ins for the whole young ED1 cast maybe we'll see Ash run into the cabin just before they arrive. Then we'll see the car pull up outside and blurry silhouettes of the young gang getting out as our Ash exits through the back of the cabin with the book.
They'll have the cabin set from season 1 so I think this is the best way for it to play out and not be awkward or rely on expensive de-aging CGI.
