Her running late constantly was her own fault. I know many mothers who are just as busy as her and they manage to get places on time and work and be there for their kids sports practices and games.

I was like that BEFORE I became a mom. Not that I'm saying it's okay for people like me or her to be constantly late, just saying, it's not a mom thing. It's poor time-management (at least in my case). I think I have time to do something, like "oh this will take 3 minutes and I have 5." but it ends up taking ten minutes and then I'm out the door 5 minutes late.
