Andy Capp is from Hartlepool so he’s practically a Geordie. This must also mean that Buster is from Hartlepool too. However in some later Buster strips, Buster is seen to be living around London (where the Fleetway offices are) and at the opposite side of the country.
Was this ever explained? Did they move or was this just a goof?
