I loved it too. I love the bland documentary style, it's like 70s Masterpiece Theater meets $2.00 budget documentary.
The "come see where I learned how to dance" still has me laughing. So does the arguments on how the daughter "could have" gotten married they spoofed Grey Gardens well.
Don't bow down to critics who haven't themselves written great masterpieces.

I thought this was amazing. Armisen and especially Hader were incredible. Their performances were mesmerizing. Despite being guys in drag and playing spoofs of already bizarre real-life people, they were believable. The attention to detail in the filming was stunning. I couldn't believe how much this looked like the real 1975 "Grey Gardens."

I could watch the Sandy Passage broads every week. I'm sad that it's just a one shot. Comedy gold!

I think Kunuk Uncovered and the Icelandic festival were two of the most brilliant things I've seen this year. I generally have to watch closely to get it which I love how I'm rewarded with that, but I thought Sandy Passage was really boring. Maybe I didn't watch closely enough. I know it's a spoof of a documentary that I don't know beyond an IMDB description (moreso the IMDB reviews) but I didn't get it too much.

That's cool! Even if you don't like every episode, you still enjoy what they're doing. With any movie or show its always about being entertained. Take care

I've watched that episode countless times and it still makes me laugh! It's such a spot on parody. I adore Bill Hader especially.

I just found this show on Netflix and I'm laughing so hard! I don't know if people who haven't seen Grey Gardens (the original or HBO film) find it as funny but I've seen both and I'm crying. Bill is stealing it as Little Vivvy!

I saw the HBO movie and without seeing preface for this episode, I could instantly recognize the parody and it was nothing short of hilarious. My husband looked at me covering my face from laughing so hard. Now he has to see Grey Gardensdocumentary or remake!

Just getting caught up now that it's on Netflix, but holy carp. Brilliant comedy. I lost it the moment Bill Hader (Little Vivvy) appeared wearing sweatpants (a cover with a built in scarf!) on his head.
