- Political correctness is people and media taking extreme & unnecessary precautions to avoid offending people, specifically minorities. It sounds good in theory. But it has gotten out of control, to the point where it is severely hindering freedom of speech. Especially on college campuses. There's nothing hard or wrong about being respectful. I wish everyone would be. But trying to legislate what everyday/normal people say is not okay.

Irrespective of his grammatical error and his political leanings, I applaud the OP's open-mindedness and honesty. That says a lot more for him compared to most cons and libs.
