Watching 6 hours kind of makes everything blend together. But I don't really remember much of Lane. Did it say what she does for a job now? She wasn't working at Luke's.

Oh, yes! Ok. Too bad they couldn't give Lane a better life. In 10 years she could have gone to school and done something else. I think that would have been better. But I really do feel like she barely had a part in these episodes lol.

I kind of took it in that she still worked part time at Luke's also. When they had the wedding, she was on Luke's side, as if she was one of his "best man". I know Luke liked her, but I highly doubt that they would have invited her to the elopement if she wasn't still an employee of his.

Lane never struck me as being especially career-oriented. She briefly went to Adventist college to please her mother, but she never expressed a burning desire to transfer to some other college or study any particular subject. Seemed more like she just wanted to quit. She was appalled when her career assessment came up "sales," but she never suggests an alternative, like, "Can't it see I'm really meant to be an architect/veterinarian/fashion designer???"
All she really likes is music, and let's face it, most kids who play in rock bands don't become professional musicians, no matter what life choices they make. Maybe she could've been a music teacher or worked in a music store or gotten involved in some kind of music platform like Spotify or Sirius XM. I guess that could've worked.
But overall I think her outcome is realistic and not as disappointing as some people are making it out to be. Not everyone ends up in the dazzling career that's perfect for them. (Rory sure didn't.) Lane is raising a family, working a little on the side, and jamming with her friends for fun. For a lot of people, that's a nice life. And if the series continues, as her kids get older, maybe we'll still see her getting into something creative.
