Asian people have suffered a history of discrimination in real life as well. You're ignoring this fact because you were never educated by the media on this. Asian people's story in America hasn't been told. This is why Asians are completely insane and a joke to you.

I like that she's part Asian. I don't like that she stays silent about that fact when Asians have been mocked, ridiculed and or discriminated against in the media all the time.
i tend to avoid minorities at all time and therefore dont care to watch "media" which features exclusively minorities in the cast/subject matter. BUT based on my experiences, these are the two portrayls of native indos and asians.
Indos: live on reservation in squalid conditions. If there's a father, 9 out of 10 he's a hopeless drunk or drug addict. , and he's unemployed. flip side is the grandfather/mother who always dresses in traditional ceremonial garb and without fail they have some spirit animal story to impart.and taken as a family unit, there's no future since on the one hand the father sets zero positive example; and on the other, the grandpa/ma dont trust modern life and want the grandkids to return to "native" ways, which, in a digital world, doesnt pay the electric bill.
asians: strong family unit with both parents present and working. if they arent doctors or lawyers or other white-collar professionals, then we have the old fallback of an asian grocery store or some kind of local community-centered business. there's usually at least 2 children and they first and foremost study,study, study! even IF they were engaging in "evil" asian stereotypical behaviours, in between breaking the laws, these kids are solving cubic equations, figuring out twists on physics experiments, and still finding time to visit grandpa and grandma in the retirement home.
to my 100% all white sensibilities, the slants come off as a normative role model where the natives get played for fools and something to avoid. if i'm wrong then please demonstrate. -
