    If everyone remembers back to the future 2, they know of the alternative timeline, one where everything went wrong.
    A few years back, they did a comic outlining how that timeline would progress, if part 3 never happened.
    Going into this film, I feel that as an alternative timeline film, this isn't bad. You have to give respect for that, but to call it a direct sequel from T2 it is not.
    A lot of people didn't like T4 but, I thought that it was something should have been given more love. They should have just finished the film series with at set and let it be done. If the powers that be wanted to "reboot' it later down the road that would be fine but, give the audience a proper ending.
    The sad thing about this film, is this would work as a great Alternative timeline story but, the who reboot with a minority female lead made me wonder if that was done more as a cash grab than anything else.
    Unlike the other films, the pacing was good, but, with this one. If they ever did a multiverse format, then this along with T4 & T5 would make for a better ending.
    Because, you can see this would work better. After watching this film, I have to say this film is great as a DC's Elseworlds or Marvel's What If tale. But, like a lot of people who loved this 30+ yr tale, it feels as if our views don't matter. Which is sad but, that is the breaks I guess.
    I hope the comics will atleast give us come closure.
    Any one else's thoughts?

      I cannot remember why I walked out on the movie. I think I was tired and it was getting too late for me to want to travel by subway home from the location I was.
      What I saw was completely new and fresh. I was waiting to like the characters more eapecially Sarah. Sarah changed drastically that it was hard for me to bond with her plight cuz she wasn't hardly anything like the Sarah from T2. Sarah from T2 still had a soul. This Sarah was cold blooded and calculated in survival mode. I didn't even trust her all that much. But I knew she was Sarah and I admired Sarah. The hybrid had a character story that I couldn't connect with right away. I did understand the girl. She was just like modern teens in real life. Completely spoiled, righteous and judgemental. I wasn't afraid of the assasin Terminator from this film either. You're supposed to though. That is the point. Yeah he was definitely deadly but he didn't come off as menacingly enough like the others sent to back.
      But the test audience enjoyed the movie. They laughed at when Arnold was telling the story of his life after his mission was done with Sarah and crew. The way Arnold's model became moee human reminded me of when John was teaching that other model slang and high five handshakes.

        I didn't even like it as that. In retrospect, T4 is the best "part 3" attempt; and it's not even close imo. Why? Because T3, Genesys, and Dark Whatever all have ****ty CGI, wire fu, and cartoony action.
        THIS is how a fight between two terminators should look:
        vl=en
        Not this silly crap where it looks fake and physics doesn't exist:

          The film would have been better if John had been killed in 2029. That would have fit in much better with the timeline of the first two Terminator films.
