How are they rectifying her character in this "sequel" when she supposedly died of cancer and was cremated. She had weapons stored in her coffin in the mausoleum, and where is her son, John?

Perhaps you should have watched more time traveling films/tv series. Several possibilities: Someone may have gone back in time to warn her of her incoming sickness. Or Sarah probably didn't go to places where she was supposed to go in a "normal" timeline where she most likely be vulnerable to cancers or other terminal illnesses. Or advanced technology was probably sent back in time to cure her. Who knows, really? If I remember correctly, this film is a "true" sequel to the first two films, meaning Terminator 3 to Genisys never happened or something changed and it will be set in alternate timeline. Either one of two.
John will have a small role in the film,
presumably to be killed.
I hope a bear throw a book at you, moon at you, and do a tap dance wearing a thong and leather boots. -

To those of you who are being vindictive at my question and trying to demean me, stop it. I was only asking a question. I am not able to go to the theaters to watch movies and I have to wait for them to come to tv. I am handicapped and was just trying to figure out the storyline. For future reference be kind with your words, not vicious. You may have to eat what you dish one day and I hope you are prepared to eat it twice.
