I was listening to a commercial about it when I heard the line,
"a drug gets sold, bought, and used once per day. A child? Maybe five or six times each day."
Just that comment alone was enough to cause pause, not to mention nausea.
Making the comparison that when a drug is sold and consumed, its value has now expired. When a child is sold, the child can be sold again and again and again, on the same day, for as long as that poor child can withstand the abuse. Putting a price tag on children and making the comparison to the trafficking of narcotics as well as the expiration and single use of said drug, really highlights what a horrific and complicated situation this is for all involved. The solution is simple, but that is not to be confused with making it
easy
because it's too profitable.
