At court tonight, nearly everyone wasn’t wearing appropriate clothing. I’m a firm believer that if you have a court date - for a speeding ticket, whatever, you dress up! Suit, tie, belt and shoes match! At the very least, a button-up collared shirt and khakis.
To say they were wearing casual clothes is an understatement. It was even worse than that. It was the worst dressed court I have ever seen in my life. And totally separate issue, but people were on their phones and allowed to chatter. I felt embarrassed for the judge. It’s completely disrespectful.
People were wearing ****ing hoodies! At court! And dirty hoodies, at that. A grown man shouldn’t be wearing ****ing a hoodie out in public, much less to a court.
I saw one man wearing athletic gym shorts and a t-shirt. Another was wearing sweatpants. One man next to smelled so bad I nearly vomited. BO funk.
I doubt those were the nicest things in their closet. In my courtroom, I make them reschedule their court date for the next docket date to dress appropriately.
Do people know how bad this makes them look to the judges and lawyers there? They’re advertising themselves as a big poor loser who’s going to plead guilty and pay his fine, easy money. They don’t look like a damn professional.
Do you know judges and prosecuting attorneys may actually lessen the severity of your charges if you look professional and cleaned-up? Look like one of them, not some section 8 poor mother ****er.
Dress to a court date the same way you’d dress as guest in a wedding.

Yeah maybe if you’re after the women lawyers, not those with charges. Have you seen the type of hoodlums in sweatpants who go to court? I wouldn’t **** them with your dick. They don’t wash their assholes. You can literally smell their body odour
through
their sweatpants. Imagine how their underwear must smell in that moment.
Do people just not bathe anymore!? Isn’t sex supposed to be a beautiful harmonious thing? How do poor gross people have sex if they’re caked in this foul stench all the time?
All I need is girls and beer,
Everything else I fear.

Enough about the poorly dressed people in court. I'm interested in you.

How often are you in court, and do you prefer night court to be a White Tie and Tails affair?
I doubt those were the nicest things in their closet.

Do you own it? Pay rent? Are you an attorney? A bailiff? An old fart who goes to observe because there is nothing other than Filmboards to entertain you since Days of Our Lives was canceled? You must work there in some capacity if you say you have to reschedule these court dates.
I look forward to more fascinating court stories. I have no doubt that you have many.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

I know most people are slobs nowadays. I'm just saying if you're smart, wear a jacket and tie and the judge will go easier on you. It's always worked for me.

By the way, I disagree with you saying most people are slobs nowadays. I will say we as a society are less formal though. If I'm at a busy mall, the people dressed in old t-shirts and sweatpants are usually the ones that stand out to me.
