Do kiwi fruits make your mouth tingle?

I have no allergies (other than a crazy reaction to mosquito bites) but I bought some kiwi fruits yesterday and they give me the weirdest tingling, almost itchy, feeling in my mouth. I don’t recall anything else doing that.

Maybe, but not as much from most/many I know of.

It makes me think of how unpleasant it is to eat a whole avocado. I did that once and woke up the next morning very smooth and nice. I've been meaning to fit that in, again! I was so pretty.

The taste is kinda of strange and the mushy texture is off-putting to me. I'm not a fan.

Agreed. I could get past the weird taste if the texture was different but I think it's the texture that really does it for me. Not a fan either.

As a youngin', I used to break out in hives if I ate strawberries. I'm glad that went away because I love local berries when they're in season.

The tingly weird feeling isn't so bad that I wouldn't eat them (and I have quite a lot to get through) but it just seems kind of random. I guess like you and strawberries

For me it's more than the tingling and scratchy feeling. I get actual bumps at the back of my throat. I can feel them with my tongue.
