Apparently so… and now everyone is pointing out that Sinners has the most nominations in history, never mind that an extra category was added this year.
I'm a bit surprised that Jesse Plemons wasn't nominated for Bugonia, but I haven't watched The Secret Agent or Blue Moon yet. But I'm glad that it did get a few nominations. It's probably my favorite of the year.

Frankenstein was awful. Nice to look at, but poorly acted by 2 of the mainstream media, lousy CGI, and about 30 minutes too long.
If you can’t say something nice, say something clever but devastating. -

I thought he was the only saving grace in that film.
I agree about Eddington, good cast, but it had some pacing issues, and felt a bit loose in places. Still, a much better film.

When you see the same movies nominated for every category it just shows you how bullshit these awards are. Do the movies for best picture really also have the best soundtrack, best casting, best costume design, etc, or are the voters a small close-knit group that are just picking their friends movies and ignoring everyone else?

I might be interested in seeing The Secret Agent just because the actor who played Pablo Escobar from Narcos is the playing the lead. However the trailer doesn't make the movie interesting. It looks more like a crime drama than action crime dramas
