I cant even find Sentimental Value anywhere. Is it in the movie theaters still? And it looks so WHITE. No people of color in that story not even as an extra. It will probably win lots of awards since Hollywood loves WHITE SKIN.
Im surprised about Sinners. The movie was that artsy? It is horror right?
I dont watch WHITE shows like The White Lotus, Adolescence, Only Murders in the Building and Severance. Its made for the white mentality.
I cannot believe Del Toro didnt get nominated for Best Screenplay. That is crime tbh.

Their nominations are always a bit weird. They have a very broad idea of what constitutes a comedy or musical and no real criteria to separate the two. While there are certainly amusing moments, I don't consider
One Battle After Another
or
Bugonia
to be comedies (
Bugonia
in particular is one of the darkest movies I've seen all year) and they sure as hell aren't musicals. And based on the marketing I doubt
Nouvelle Vague
and
Marty Supreme
are either… I think
Blue Moon
is a biopic of a composer which, again, is a very broad definition of musical.
And apparently they're considering
If I Had Legs, I'd Kick You
to be a comedy as well (Rose Byrne's nom in Best Actress). Yeah, I laughed so hard at that one

She deserves a nomination, but wrong category.
The Bear
,
Poker Face
and
Wednesday
aren't comedies or musicals either…
But come to think of it, what the hell is a musical TV series? Has one
ever
been nominated? Certainly there were variety shows back in the day and PBS still has things like
Austin City Limits
or the Metropolitan Opera. But that doesn't seem to be what they're talking about? Is there a scripted TV series where original songs and choreographed dance numbers are a regular feature of the show?
The Monkees or The Partridge Family?

Maybe by comedy they mean it has a happy ending.
Is there a scripted TV series where original songs and choreographed dance numbers are a regular feature of the show?
There was Schmigadoon! and Glee but Schmigadoon! was never nominated. -

If memory serves, the Golden Globes are the most scorned awards around the planet. Utter fluff.
Like, the judges are made up of 'entertainment news' reporters
(hacks)
from big newspapers in fat, stupid countries like USA and UK.
They participate in the whole silly thing because of one reason and one reason only: nonstop scarfing down of free food and booze.

I am mildly interested in Frankenstein. Not a fan of del Toro.
I definitely want to see the Mission Impossible film at some time. But I want to rewatch the first one first.
The rest is part of liberal self-congratulatory crapola. -

Still have several of the favoured Oscar films to see. Despised the wokefest called
One Battle After Another.
Weapons
was one of the best pictures I saw this year.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?
Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't.
