When I notice a migraine developing I start chugging water and that usually helps. I suppose it depends on what triggers them.

I see something like this:
I usually notice it as a blind spot first and then the zigzag pattern starts to resolve as I concentrate on it. If I don't do anything to stop it then fifteen or so minutes later the headache will start.
