Thinking of adopting a German Shepherd?

My friend had one. We all went out to the movies and left Sheba home on her own. When we got back a few hours later she had demolished my friend's armchair and it was in little pieces round the room. She didn't like being left alone while we were all out having fun. They're great dogs!

Separation anxiety? So many dogs will do this when left alone. I think that's where crate training comes in handy. All of my dogs were crate trained, and now I can just leave him alone with an opened crate door and he'll just go in (and out) on his own, but the destruction stopped. When he was a puppy, one of the first things he did was chew the tips off my antique wooden rocking chair, making it now a regular ol' standing chair! No more rocking lol
Shepherds are great. They form very strong bonds.
