    If it's not scrubbed.
    https://www.nytimes.com/2026/03/29/science/nasa-astronauts-artemis-moon-launch.html
In a few days, four astronauts could be strapped into a spacecraft for the first crewed trip to head toward the moon since 1972.
The forecast calls for an 80 percent chance of favorable weather during a two-hour launch window on Wednesday that starts at 6:24 p.m. Eastern time.
The two-day countdown is scheduled to begin on Monday.
The Artemis II mission is to take the astronauts on a 10-day mission that is to go to the moon, without landing, and then back to Earth, splashing down in the Pacific Ocean. For NASA, it is a major test of the spacecraft (in particular, the life support systems) in the lead-up to trying to land astronauts on the moon in a couple of years.

I think the powers that be are getting ready to inhabit the moon and plunder it of any resources it surely has, so this initial expenditure is just the start.

Space exploration has given us many modern inventions.
If you're worried about wasted money, look at military spending or the money we could be getting from billionaires.

based on this picture of the crew, there is a solid 50% chance of all of them dying

Funny how they could do it 54 years ago but now they need to run more tests to see if they can land on the moon in a couple years? Seems very fishy to me!
