It is actually black and white, but there are colored lines crossing over the picture that fool the mind into viewing it as a colored image. This is what is known as an optical illusion.

Look at the portions between the lines. They are black/white/gray, but appear to have a color. You'll notice the skin seems to have a skin tone. Your optics are fooled, hence it is an illusion. An optical illusion.

I wonder if they colored the shirts the real color the shirts were in reality.
One shirt appears yellow with yellow squares, and one appears blue, one green, etc. I wonder if the shirts are really those colors. Now that'd be the illusion: if the blue shirt was really yellow, the yellow really green, etc
