I just saw on the recent deaths section of Wikipedia this guy called Adam Johnson who died the same day as Matthew Perry
On October 28, 2023, Johnson was playing for the Nottingham Panthers and was fatally injured in a game against the Sheffield Steelers at Utilita Arena when his neck was cut by the skate of Steelers player Matt Petgrave during an on-ice collision. After the impact, Johnson attempted to skate to the team bench while bleeding out, before collapsing on the ice; players on both sides locked arms to form a protective ring around Johnson while medical professionals tended to him before screens were put up and the arena evacuated. Johnson was eventually transferred and formally pronounced dead at Sheffield's Northern General Hospital, at age 29. News of Johnson's death was publicly withheld until the following morning while Johnson's relatives were alerted

There’s a LOT of back and forth about this between people who don’t even watch the sport, people making it racial, people being complete ****heads in general. In my honest opinion, I think the dude was completely negligent and made a horribly dangerous move. Adding onto that, he has a huge rap sheet of suspensions and dirty **** in his past. Doesn’t bode well on him IMO. But it’s wild how two people can look at one video and come up with completely different conclusions. Absolutely wild.
I doubt he’ll get charged for anything, but damn… just really really a bad situation. -

It's crazy what accidents can happen on the ice. I read about something similar years ago but I don't think the guy died. Figure skating can be just as bad. Jessica Dube ended up with a huge scar across her face after her partner clipped her with his skate.
