If the Patriots lost, every anti-Trump goon, every moron who sat during the national anthem, morons like Shaun King and Bill Maher, organizations like Jezebel, etc. etc. would have all felt justified.
The Patriots were being shat on for being Patriots and supporting Trump. I remember how much liberals were talking sh!t when they were down 28-3. Shaun King's Tweet is now infamous:
http://twitchy.com/samj-3930/2017/02/06/ha-shaun-king-tweet-trashes-patriots-during-superbowl-halftime-over-trump-support-deletes-tweet/
Liberals and Commies would have talked non-stop sh!t if the Falcons won.
And the Patriots won the best way possible - an improbable comeback. Just like election night 2016.
Thank god.
THANK GOD. -

You do realize the geographical area that the Patriots represent is a bunch of blue states?
It's not just liberals who denigrate the Patriots, far from it. I think there are many conservatives who don't think liberals should have a powerful dynasty like the Patriots. They don't think liberals are "real men".
But I'm glad the Pats won, too. This board is so silent of trash talk, it's music to my ears. -

That are like 90% white lol.
Hearing liberals cry that Boston is a "racist city" (it is) was music to my ears.
I hated the Patriots but when I learned Tom supported Trump they became my favorite team. -

I don't get what your point is about their being 90% white.
Boston was a racist city in the last century. Now it is gentrified city, and I don't know what it actually is like to live in the city. Probably still divided but now by class.
Someone told me recently that liberals are emotional and conservatives are more logical. Far from it. It makes no sense to turn on a dime in your opinion of a sports team just because one member of it is a friend of Trump. That's ridiculous. -

He can do whatever he wants. But it's
illogical
and
emotional
to go from hating a sports team to loving it just because you find out that the team's most well-known member has political associations you like.
Entertainment and politics don't have to mix. -

New Englanders self segregate.
Probably still divided but now by class.
Last time I checked (2016) it was like the 6th most racially segregated city in the U.S. Even moreso than Los Angeles now I believe.
That's ridiculous.
Why? -

yes, that's EXACTLY what makes it so funny that so many liberals were against them!

Ive been surprised at how many people linked the Super Bowl and football in general to politics. Apparently some a-hole comedian Ive never heard of said he wanted the Falcons to win because Atlanta is America's blackest city and Boston (according to him) is the most racist.
Last week I heard about some professor who demanded Tom Brady "answer" for wearing a Trump cap.
Today I was listening to Jim Rome and Mike Silver was one claiming the reason NFL ratings have been down is the "clown show election", and then he blamed "the party that won". Not the other party, not the scumbag media that refuses to focus on actual issues, just one party.
These turds have no common decency, we cant escape it even for a few hours to watch sports anymore. -

Yet most of the players aren't going to accept the White House invitation
Actually, that's completely false. The vast majority of the players are going to the White House. So far, only 3 players have said they will decline the offer.
