I have just completed my 6th playthrough of Resident Evil 4, across 4 different consoles, still as good as ever.

I first watched a friend play through MGS1 before I borrowed and played it myself some years later.
I bought my own copies of MGS2 and MGS3 and quite enjoyed playing the end parts of both games.

Didn't even think about fighting games. Played through the arcade/story modes of the first Mortal Kombat and Soul Caliber II quite a few times

Journey. 600+ times. I lost count at around 330 but that's a fair total estimation. Played it regularly since it came out day 1 in 2012 until last year. Will continue to play on and off until it loses its power.

Haha no doubt. I really can't even fathom how you don't hate the game after, like, let's even just say a dozen playthroughs? Two dozen? Surely it would just be a task at that point, performed by rote, mechanically, emotionlessly?

I'm nowhere near 600 playthroughs, but it's not an easy game to tire of. I love it and play it occasionally and have been since shortly after it was released. I don't see me stopping but I'm probably only sitting between 15 and 20 playthroughsguess it's another one I could add to my list of most played.

Metal Gear Solid 1 on the PS1. I've easily played through the game from beginning to end more than a dozen times. i played it so often when I first got it in 1998 that I actually broke it. I started getting a spinning "read error" disc icon in the corner and the game simply wouldn't progress any further.
