I loved Metropolis. It's probably the first cartoon I saw, since I was 8, that made me a little teary eyedand then I saw Grave of the Fireflies. Damn.

Yeah it the "bosses" are what drew 12-year old me too it probably, and the boobies. I think the only other cartoon I was tits in up until that point was

Saw Ninja Scroll when I was in high school. Our teacher was out for a whiledon't know why we didn't get a substitute for that period, but kids started bringing in movies and Ninja Scroll was one of them. It kind of blew my mind. Picked up a copy at a Suncoast a couple years later. I think I owe that one a rewatch.

I recommend "Michiko and Hatchin."
It's a great road trip series about an escaped convict chasing the man she loves across South America.
The only bad thing about it is that one character is a stereotype caricature of a Chinese chef.
