Saw Ninja Scroll when I was in high school. Our teacher was out for a whiledon't know why we didn't get a substitute for that period, but kids started bringing in movies and Ninja Scroll was one of them. It kind of blew my mind. Picked up a copy at a Suncoast a couple years later. I think I owe that one a rewatch.
According to me, yes. I am the person it's usually according to when I'm talking. -

I recommend "Michiko and Hatchin."
It's a great road trip series about an escaped convict chasing the man she loves across South America.
The only bad thing about it is that one character is a stereotype caricature of a Chinese chef. -

Surprised nobody's mentioned this gem yet;

Fist of the North Star FTW!
Apparently, my son was on something called 'Acid' and was shooting a bow and arrow into a crowd. -

Perfect blue is great, I actually nearly picked it but I think my favorite Kon is infinitely interchangeable, every time I watch any of them again I fall in love with it all over again.
I also like the Berserk films, they do a good job of telling the same story as the anime series but better, and for the most part they reunited the voice cast from the 90's.
I'm surprised with the popularity of stuff like Bloodborne and Dark souls, that older animes that have more of a focus on mystical warriors with swords aren't more popular, instead the market these days is still oversaturated with crap set in high schools.
