Another ditzy guy (also from TV) would be Woody Harrelson from "Cheers".
He was also quite adorable.

I can see where you are coming from Evil Ed being dingy. I'd say he was a little on the flaky side, too. But I always liked him. Stephen Geoffreys had his own unique presence. I liked him even better in "976-EVIL". Did you see that one?

Yes I have 976-Evil on DVD. There's a scene where it rains fish. Gotta find time to watch this month. Geoffrey's had a chance to do the Fright Night sequel but chose the leading role in 976. Can you blame him for not wanting to be second to Brewster yet again?

And personally speaking, I would always choose Sandy Dennis over Roddy McDowell to be my co-star.
