Tim Blake Nelson as Delmar O'Donnell in "O Brother, Where Art Thou." More of a complete moron than ditzy.

      ditz > moron
But thank for contributing. I've never seen that movie.
Another ditzy guy (also from TV) would be Woody Harrelson from "Cheers".
      He was also quite adorable.

No, he wasn't. Joe had a soft heart and a soft head to got with it.

I can see where you are coming from Evil Ed being dingy. I'd say he was a little on the flaky side, too. But I always liked him. Stephen Geoffreys had his own unique presence. I liked him even better in "976-EVIL". Did you see that one?

Yes I have 976-Evil on DVD. There's a scene where it rains fish. Gotta find time to watch this month. Geoffrey's had a chance to do the Fright Night sequel but chose the leading role in 976. Can you blame him for not wanting to be second to Brewster yet again?

No, Ed has so much more personality than Brewster.
And personally speaking, I would always choose Sandy Dennis over Roddy McDowell to be my co-star.

and I believe he gave an Oscar worthy turn. Of course the Academy bypassed him due to it being horror and that year gave support to one of the most undeserved nominees and wins EVER, Don Ameche.

Yes, Joey was a sweetheart, but kind of a dum dum. Good call. I like that when you paired them off in twows, Joey always got teamed up with Phoebe, who is by far my favorite character on that show.
