I always enjoyed the show Welcome Back Kotter, plus the song as well.

At first you think MI is epic.
Until you realize they are just repeating it over and over again with a flute solo thrown in.
Not at all impressive with the same notes and **** repeating!

Alexander Courage created the theme for STAR TREK. He became one of many that Trek creator Gene Roddenberry screwed over; Roddenberry wrote some ****ty lyrics for Courage's theme, never intending that they ever be recorded or performed but just so that he would be officially listed as the lyricist and would get half the royalties for the music.

Thanks for the reply J!
Yeah…the same. I saw it in my teens after growing up with the sho. I personally dug the flick but that scene was a bit odd at that age to me.

I was in my teens as well, and I thought it–and the rest of the movie–was magnificent. A masterpiece.

Yes! And that closing theme has no lyrics. It's just a lot of mumbo-jumbo, done as a joke. Everyone has been arguing over the "lyrics" for decades, which was the intent (though the longevity of it couldn't have been predicted).
