Well, all drugs are dangerous in one way or another. If you can get skinny on a bad diet and by taking drugs, your body is being starved of necessary nutrients. So, you're going to end up skinny and ill.
The obesity crisis may be solved but I see so many other health crises in its wake.

Will this drug cause issues for people who abuse it? Sure. That is true of most drugs.
But do you really think these issues will rival the obesity crisis in any way? Just look at all the people that have added years onto their lives by dropping pounds and pounds. And people can still eat healthy when using these drugs.
This is a win overall. We should be striving to make sure big pharma doesn’t price gouge this out of reach for the poorer in our society that are hooked on **** food

Yeah I see it the same way honestly. Not everyone can lose weight from just diet and exercise alone so if a drug helps them and it’s not severely impacting their health I don’t see why it bothers other ppl so much

Exercise didn't help me when I was trying to lose weight
Intermittent fasting was the only thing that worked

That's a really good method. It can be challenging for some to maintain and stick to. Good for you! 👍

Wouldn’t maintaining good oral hygiene care help this problem? Seems kinda minor to me anyway

                            Yes.
It just makes me wonder what other effects it might be having that haven't shown up yet. It's early days. Maybe it's really safe and we'll all be using it soon.

I guess mostly GI issues ? There are so many side effects to every drug that the severe ones are rare

They're finding out that Ozempic et al can help reduce cardiac risks and reduce inflammation. This type of medication has been on the market for quite a while, but I've recently been hearing about other beneficial side effects.
Like any other medication, there will always be benefits and side effects. People just need to weigh the pros and the cons and decide what the risks are or what is a better tradeoff.
