yes, but when a country like Argentina goes up for sale for only 40B, it's time to buy 👌

I heard someone say earlier that it had something to do with Bessent's investments or some of his cronies (he, of course, was employed by George Soros for nearly 25 years, before starting his own firm with a $2 billion investment from Soros). Yes, this is the same George Soros who Republicans always clutch their pearls about. Remember that GOP stands for Gaslight, Obstruct,

I lived in Argentina over a decade ago.
Ten pesos there would get you one US dollar then (And that was seen as terrible).
Now, you'd need well over a
                  THOUSAND
pesos to get you that dollar.
                  It's a huge country, HUGE!
But it's been run into the ground through socialism and corrupt bureaucracy.
                  Sad, sad.
Go back 25 years and it was one peso to one dollar.
That's how quickly things can change.
If you're not careful, all those savings you have aren't worth a cup of coffee to a beggar in just over a generation.

He’d be able to do the same thing with that money if he flushed it down the sewer. Same result.

Trump doesn't care. He doesn't pay taxes.

And every idiotic move like this helps keep his refusal to release the Epstein files out of the spotlight.

He loves diversion. His problem now is that the world knows he does this, and the Epstein Files thing isn’t going anywhere.

Yes, I look for the fact that only four Republicans have signed on to the discharge petition to release the files to be one of the key issues in midterm messaging, second only to the widespread dissatisfaction with the increase in grocery prices under Trump, something independent are even more aware of than Democrats.

It’s interesting that MTG supports releasing the files, and undocumented workers. She’s pissed snout immigration policies because it’s hitting her in the pocketbook (her construction business).

Milei is making cuts that Republicans have had wet dreams thinking about for the last 90 years. If they can point to him as a success story they'll say "Look how Argentina turned things around. We need to do the same thing here. Never mind the fact that we funded the entire thing. Ignore that part."

Republicans have never been opposed to the idea of socialism for the rich. Hell, their hero Elon Musk is perhaps the biggest welfare queen in American history. Over $38 billion in government funds!
Their idea of "limited government" is a full return to medieval feudalism.
