i think it's funny how ineffective those videos that supposedly show charlie being proved wrong are. it's almost if they were made that way on purpose.

almost nothing charlie said was wrong so they have no choice but to clip him way out of context to slander him. admittedly, he was a bit weaselly when he was caught off guard in a debate but he always tried to argue in good faith.

i'm actually hoping that those out-of-context videos of charlie "losing debates" will help gen z learn some perspective on how the media works a little better than generation boomer through gen Y.
gen x is a bit more based, having lived life before so much tech, but many of them are hopelessly entrenched in the beast system, they would never bite the hand that feeds them.
it's funny that it's the beast that we think feeds us now, even though it's always been and still is the other way around. -

I watched Mr. Rogers as a kid and then spent the next 4 decades admiring him as a Man.
When I finshed watching the documentary that was made about Mr.Rogers, I walked out of that Movie Theater saying to myself, this man(Rogers) is one of the greatest Men to ever be in the Public arena of ideas in the history of the United States.
No one like that Man. Truly amazing individual

Puppets are or at least were standard children's fare at the time.

I dont know, I was a child I wasn't thinking that much into it lol. The puppets didn't really look like anything else I watched from that time (the 90s) except for maybe some horror movie. I think the show being older possibly have it a "creepy" vibe. The episodes I saw could have been from much earlier.

The show started in the 60's. I saw it back then as a little old fashioned, but I'd be sucked in by how relaxing it was. It was often after school when I was so overstimulated by the bus ride home. It was also kind of the precursor to How it's Made. They'd have segments at like factories and stuff.
I get the thing about it being older. For me, black and white stuff would do that, especially if the characters had that old accent. It felt so alien. -
