I've recovered recently from an ear infection and dayum, the pain was so severe, even the cartilage hurt, not just the ear canal. That's why I like my soft pillow that I can smoosh.

I think some side sleeping pillows can be formed into a shape so you can put part of it between your knees to lessen lower back strain. I've thought about getting one of those.

no. maybe I should try it. sometimes I sleep on my side and end up putting my arm to sleep because I'm laying on it for too long.
I've been experimenting with one of those wedge pillows for about a week to see if I sleep any better.

I've heard they really well for people who deal with reflux, and they can definitely help when placed beneath your knees if you have back pain. There's also a long wedge you can place behind your back if you're a side-sleeper.
In my case, the flatter I can lay down, the better.
