What’s your take, why is America so violent? Give me a serious deep answer and not some “ liberals”
Some plausible theory. Cos statistically you have a high level of violence in America much more than other western civilized countries.

We're an over-medicated society high on anti depressants with tons of side effects, that we give to kids early on in their development. I could be wrong, but I imagine that plays a huge part in it.

I’m sure that’s part of the problem in some cases. But everything everyone is listing, is still a bad combination with weapons.
You can be the most mentally ill, hopelessly overmedicated country on earth. Pairing it with guns is madness.
But you want your guns. So youre gonna continue to die by them.
As Charlie said, the deaths are unfortunate, but it’s necessary to protect the right to bear arms.

So the answer is to stop over medicating people, not take away our right to self defense.

What about under medicating? What if the shooter is a schizophrenic. Many violent criminals have a long history of mental illness in one form or another. What if he had access to antipsychotic medication, maybe that would’ve had a different outcome. What if he lived in a country where healthcare was easily accessible. Instead of guns?

Yeah there's that too. Unfortunately people have mental illness, I reject your solution of taking away my right to self defense because someone else is mentally ill.

You're European, you don't have the ability to grant anyone anything.

It's a byproduct of our history. By the time firearms were commonplace, Europeans were already living in settled communities. Whereas Americans have had guns since the colonial days and often lived in wilderness areas where they would need them to provide food, fur for clothing, and protection in areas where law enforcement was basically unheard of. This birthed the gun culture we see today.
The US isn't alone in this. Many of the most violent countries on earth are in Central and South America and they share that history of first being settled in the era of firearms.
Comparing the methods by which the US gained independence from Great Britain in comparison to say, Australia or Canada, would also perhaps be beneficial.
