I'm a Christian. Raised as a deputy Catholic. It's blasphemy. Any depiction or recreation of anything pertaining to our Lord is strictly forbidden.
This is clear blasphemy.
The only poster who had his account banned 4 times without ever breaking any rules each of those times. -

Better start stripping the churches of those near homo-erotic images of a half naked Christ on the cross then…
I think you'll find things are a little more complicated than that. -

As a work of art I much preferred Serrano's Piss Christ:

I still wouldn't give it house room though.

Framing art that evokes a reaction as a bad thing is lame.
Agreed…but for different reasons.
While I neither like nor find this painting funny, it's the
Freedom of Art
that must be protected.
Who decides what's
'right'
or
'good'
art?
The terrible destructions (book burnings) and bans of so called
"degenerate art"
during the Nazi era should never happen again!
Then less long ago the destruction of the big Buddhas.
And the Mohammed cartoons even triggered murders by fanatics. -

praise be to our lord and savior Charlie Hebdo
Maybe you exaggerate a bit.
Whoever you are.
Salman Rushdie's
Satanic Verses
were more literary.
He also paid
'high prices'
for his courage.
But even him I wouldn't call a
"savior"
.
