Or, I should say, blinded by the light bulbs…
I was in Lowe's today trying to find a couple 75W replacement bulbs for my laundry area. So, I browse their huge light bulb aisle, and it boggled my mind. I’m met with this vast, eyeball-numbing array of products of varying styles and shades and intensities, and other features that I probably will never need. I never did find anything in a 75W or equivalent bulb that I could use. I was thinking they really need to have a light bulb attendant posted there on the light bulb aisle.
Do people really need all those light bulb choices?? I can remember a time not so long ago when if you needed a new light bulb, you went to the store and easily got a replacement bulb - usually a 60 watt bulb, sometimes a 40W, occasionally a 75W or even 100W. All were easily available - and affordable. And certainly not hard to find. These modern light bulb choices are so complicated today it’s ridonkulous. -

Oh dear, that's a bit of a sticky wicket to find yourself in! Fortunately I don't have that problem… my house is "old" (late 50's construction) but all the light fixtures accept modern bulbs. But trying to find the equivalent bulb you're looking for from amongst the vast array of LED bulbs on the market nowadays can be a real pain.

60W is too dim. 100W is too bright. I woulda' bought 75W in LED… IF there were any to be found on the shelf. Couldn't find any. But it was the time-consuming searching through all those many bewildering bulb options, that made me want to start this topic. Anyway, that was Lowe's… I'm pretty sure I can find 75W at Home Depot. If not, I'll order online.

Do you also remember the days when all anyone had to eat was tree bark and for fun they smashed their balls with hammers?
What a weird thing to complain about. What are you, like 175 years old, mate?
