I don't have a problem with some environments being politically incorrect and relaxed. I like this place being kind of an offensiveness playground, but overall, in everyday life, I think being considerate of others and respectful towards cultures and races is doing the right thing.
I'm a little torn on what I think about comedy. On the one hand, I think it's cathartic to laugh at everything, but there's also responsibility when you have a public platform. Normalizing the stigmatization of certain groups is harmful. I guess it depends on how it's done.

Jokes vary in quality
What's that got to do with it?
and ethics.
No.
Jokes can be used as catharsis and they can be used to hurt.
Comedians want to make their audiences laugh. That's the point. You can choose to be offended, but that isn't their intention.

To deny that there is messaging in conedy is just dumb and naive. It's partly treated as a soapbox, and what younsay matters.
Some jokes are intended to hurt. That is pretty clear just by looking at this site.

Movie writers should know their audience. Sometimes being politically incorrect attracts more viewers since political correctness can be boring.
