A California woman has shared footage of the moment her husband realized he had accidentally ordered 200 McDonald's chicken nuggets.
The average American shells out more than $1,200 on fast food every year, according to a study of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted by OnePoll, with people enjoying fast food on average around twice a week.
That expenditure is usually spread out across an entire year. However, that wasn't the case for Jessica Vaccaro from Long Beach and her family.
In a video shared to TikTok under the handle lynn_j_goat she offered a glimpse of the astonishing scene that played out when her husband, Pharaoh Siris, inadvertently ordered her and her parents 200 chicken nuggets from McDonald's.
In the video, Vaccaro, her mom and Siris can be seen standing around the kitchen counter as box after box of chicken nuggets emerges from a series of freshly delivered brown McDonald's paper bags.
All three are in hysterics at the mistake, with each newly discovered box of nuggets adding to the hilarity of the situation. Siris, for his part, can barely look, and is instead seen leaning forward with his head in his hands.
Explaining what happened, Vaccaro told Newsweek: "My husband ordered through DoorDash And hit the times 20 on the 10 piece nuggets so we ended up with 200 nuggets."
Siris had intended to order a total of 20 nuggets.
Vaccaro said: "We were completely confused at first and only figured it out when we checked the receipt."
She can't remember how much the order came to but reckons it was "in the hundreds." Based on the current menu, the total spent on nuggets would have come to around $109 though Siris also bought McDonald's meals for all of the family on top of that.
Thankfully, they were able to see the funny side and even ended up giving the extra nuggets away to the less fortunate.
"We just enjoyed a really good laugh and went down to the beach and fed the homeless so it all actually worked out beautifully," she said. -

$1200 a year is the average. Many Americans barely eat fast food, and a significant number eat none at all. That means somebody somewhere is spending tens of thousands of dollars on sweetened bread, over-salted fries, meat made from assholes, sauces that are basically salt, sugar, and vinegar, and warm, limp lettuce.
