I've read nothing worth replying to in earnest
I think that the ball has been in your court the entire time you've tried to have a go at me for this.
But it is bloody funny watching mongoloids telegraph in coordinated swings with the precision of a broken jumping Jack.
LOL.

What is identity?
The poster βOrsonβ changes his name every day. Yet we always refer to him as βOrson.β That is his identity here and the sock names are like hats he wears.
Is the guys real name Orson? Actually, donβt answer that but you get my point. Itβs probably just another alias. Who is this bastard, really? Does he even know? Probably not.
And this same question can be asked of yourself when you look in the mirror. Are you Jordan, Corwin? Or someone else entirely?

That's what I'm asking.
Look, you say he's Orson, but why? Why Orson and not, let's say, I don't know, Prince Mongo, or that funny guy with the curly hair?
So, maybe you'll say "because that's how I first knew him", well ok then, but is that who he is? It's definitely not who he thinks he is, right? -

Maybe because he changes usernames so often. If you keep changing your name and don't stick with one for long, people need a way to refer to you as a certain person, so they'll use your most well-known username. If you change your name but stick with your new name for a while, people might start using your new name.
For instance, Fugazi was DinosaurJr (I think) on The Soapbox. But I didn't know him until he joined the TWD board with the Fish in the Percolator name. Everyone called him Fish. He was PhoQ after that, and some people referred to him by that name, but some still called him Fish. I think he had a few names here, but he was Fugazi for a while, so now most people call him Fugazi (instead of Fish or Dino). -

So, what's their identity? Like, THEIR identity? Your idea of who they are is yours. Right? So, what's theirs? What exactly is⦠OK, think of it like this, who are they to themselves, when nobody else is around?

Maybe my theory was wrong. It works for some posters (people refer to them by their newer, established usernames, instead of their older usernames), but not others; for instance, Gameboy'sΒ had that Caveman name for a long time, yet most people still call him Gameboy.
