I think Yermom was saying being anti-abortion has nothing to do with religion but it's painted that way. That you don't need to be religious to be anti abortion. I agree with that bit.
I don't agree it's not about religion. There are some non-religious people who are anti-abortion but the right is weirdly capitulating to the Christian fundies and there's nothing those people are more focused on than B R E E D I N G.
I don't care if someone is Christian, Muslim, atheist or whatever. When they make policies based on their religion or lack thereof they are a loon. Definitely see that more with strongly religious people. It's too hard for them to separate out those intense beliefs when they have the power to force other people to live by them.
