See that's the thing…puff embraced southern acts as did JiggaMan. Z put PAT on the hip hop map! No matter it was a GLORIOUS time! Were you around yet to taste of it?

While this is definitely not in the same style you're talking about I do find the evolution of rap from the late '80s to the early 90s…"Pre-Mainstream gangsta" very unique.
The rap-dance era is interesting and largely forgotten. When gangsta rap hit people stopped dancing for awhile.
