I honestly have no idea how in the world Paul Verhoeven was able to convince Elizabeth Berkley to do the amount of nudity that she does in the Movie "
SHOWGIRLS
".
I really don't think that the reason why she agreed to do it was because of the amount of money that she was getting paid to do it. I think that Paul Verhoeven must have also talked to her about it as well, what in the world he could have said to convince her though, I have no idea at all. Seriously! -

She got paid to be the star of this film, so there you go. Moreover, at the time this movie was made and released Elizabeth Berkley was trying to reinvent herself, so she thought doing an edgy movie was the right way to go about achieving that specific goal.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything. -

I've never made time to watch this film and I've only see Elizabeth Berkley as a guest on a few TV shows post Showgirls. It seems to me she is famous for two things: as a regular on a long ago, long running teen TV series (which is a group with many-many members), and as the girl who's career was ruined by a notorious and (by all accounts) pretty bad film.
Still famous though and we still comment about her - is that a success?
