This was a one-off UK TV drama screened in the late 1980s or possibly the early 1990s. Contemporary setting - not a "historical" piece. A British couple are on some sort of safari in the African wilderness with an older explorer. The old explorer dies and the couple are lost/stranded because their navigational equipment is broken. The husband dies of exposure/thirst/starvation and in desperation the starving wife is just about to resort to cannibalizing his corpse when two African tribesmen turn up and save her. A year or two later, the woman is living with the tribe and has had a baby by one of the men. She is eventually found by other Westerners (who I think located her by satellite, which would have been pretty cutting-edge technology for the 1980s), but she seems to be in a shell-shocked state.
Apparently it contained a fairly graphic sex scene between the couple (although I must have missed that part!) which was considered risqué at the time. -

I'd actually asked Gemini and it made a number of suggestions for somewhat similar movies that were
not
the one I had in mind.
Searching IMDb for "Savage Intruder" brings up a 1970 US horror movie (nope), and searching "Last Safari" brings up a number of things that don't sound exactly like my OP either. So… either this drama doesn't have an IMDb page, or the title was actually something completely different.
Some other scenes I vaguely recall: as the old explorer lay dying he tried to tell the younger couple how to use a navigational instrument, but the woman found the lens had cracked. There was also a scene where two tribesmen were spying on their camp, apparently hoping to see the couple making love, but they didn't on that occasion. One of the tribesman said something like (subtitled) "Hmm, no nookie tonight". Also, the tribesmen carried their water in a plastic softdrink bottle, which looked out of place.
