Yesterday I watched this with my children and hope it had the same impact.

My oldest is 13,5 and the second is 11,5 (he was definitely to young but as the second child its very difficult to separate them)
I think maybe it was too harsh for my children. They were in a state of shock.
But we discussed after this for a long time and that brought us very near.
It can be your best friend or your girlfriend you have this huge crash on.
I just want them to feel prepared to say NO.
More and more the parents arent important , friends are.

Ihr Frauen sollt es wissen,
zur Liebe gehrt nicht nur das Kssen.
Nein, auch beim Beischlaf msst Ihr selbst entscheiden knnen,
um mit Eurem Mann zu pennen.

Aber nur mit Verhtungsmitteln bis zum Ende Eurer Ausbildung,
um eine ungewollte Schwangerschaft zu vermeiden.

I saw this movie as a young teen and it scared me off heroin for life.
I barely remember it today except for the withdrawal/detox scenes. Those were brutal.
Same here, never heroin…and no other hard drug (cocaine, speed, meth, etc.).
And no whatever chemical drug else, (Valium & Co.).
The
shock
hit us both in the right place.
Yah, the movie and the book are both painfully realistic.
In a way, the book is almost more brutal.
The first book, on which the film is based, was written by two journalists (biography).
They actually just wanted to publish some articles about the drug scene.
After the interview with Christiane, it became a book…and then a movie.
The second book about her later life was written down by journalist Sonja Vukovic
according to interviews with Christiane. (autobiography).
I don't know the series.
Sorry, I'm writing in such detail because I've just read the nonsense in the other thread.
