It's a great disappointment it didn't turn out that way. But I disagree: Fonda and Leigh could be so much more attractive than they were in the movie. Whoever "masterminded" their looks must have been a self-hating feminist dyke. Fonda looked like a dyke. See "Godfather III" for a mouth-watering Fonda.

Yeah, but there would have been no nudity by either actress. And they would have replace JJ Leigh with an actress who was more "hot" (but far less sexy, in my opinion) like, I don't know, Leighton Meester.
