Reed did not work at all Maybe this movie didn't either What's more sad in 2016 they are still making crappy remakes and sequels.
I don't know who would of taken Burt's place That's a tough one. Gotta think 1983 who could of be. Hmmm I give up.

or they couldve saved a lot of time and money and effort and not made the movie in the first place once Burt and Sally and Hal Needham passed on the project

Jerry Reed was a poor substitute for Burt Reynolds in this film. His overly goofy antics really grated on my nerves.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
