The way i see it, adult Jason was always in this.

yeah so even though they didn't intend for jason to be back in part 2 or even that there would be a part 2 we can think that he was alive in 1 bc he is in 2. and alice is in the beginning of 2 so that follows the logic that he is alive in 1 and around where alice is in 1 bc i doubt jason traveled a lot by foot from 1 to 2.
he knew about alice in 1 that is why he killed her at the beginning of 2.
what do you mean out of thin air? alice knew about him through pamela's speech but do you think alice saw jason too as an adult?

I tend to agree with what kctx85 says, but just for fun, from a fan's perspective, I can get with what you're suggesting. I mean, as written, there wasn't any thought to Jason lurking about in F13, but if we apply any critical thinking (at our own peril) to Part 2, then he must've been around somewhere during the events of the first movie.
The guy giving Annie a lift in his truck mentions the fires and other strange occurrences around the lake in the years since the counselors were killed in 1957. You can conclude this was Jason doing whatever it took surviving deep in the forest.

There needs to be a prequel explaining what Jason was doing during the events of part 1.
The idea that Jason just resurrected out of the lake and turned into an adult over night is bullshit and makes zero sense. The first 5 films were not supernatural in anyway. -

Why are these movies such a cult? They're all rubbish.
They may be rubbish to you. You have a right to your opinion.
Others have a right to theirs.
Cult films and why we love, hate them β Spokane County β¦
A cult movie is a film that has a dedicated following, and is often considered to be different from mainstream films. Cult movies are often celebrated for their contradictions, and can be both artistic and exploitative.
Personally, I only like the first one.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

They are. Part of the fun is the ridiculousness. Though, as far as cheesy horror movies go, the Nightmare series is so much more fun and imaginative. Same for the Chucky series. Friday and Halloween franchises are overrated.
