I'm not offended about swishy men, I'm secure in my manhood. I like men but The Birdcage is a comedy of errors, it's easy to play up the stereotypes and go for the cheap laughs

I was OK with this movie until it ended with the huge closeup of the STRAIGHT married couplethen I was indeed mortally offended. This movie isn't about the straight married couple, it's about the 2 men who have been together for 20 years.

Not at all. I absolutely love this movie. It's being shown on HBO. It has a lot of things in it especially politics. It was just, maybe even somewhat unrealistic but funny anyway, how the conservative senator and his family came together at the end with "the gays" and a plan and the marriage at the end. I also love the actors in it as well especially obviously Robin Williams and Nathan Lane (I didn't know he voiced Timon in Timon and Pumbaa).

Being straight I loved this film too and from all the responses I received the gay community was not offended.
