I LOVE claustrophobic horror movies and i'm looking for some recommendations of films like: After… (2006) , Urban Explorer(2011) , Stag Night (2008) , As above so below (2014) , The Tunnel (2011), The Descent (2005) , The Cave (also 2005) , REC (2007, also all the REC movies) and Quarantine (2008).
It could also be set in abandoned villages (like in House of Wax, 2005) or abandoned factories (like The Collection, 2012) because i love the eerie asthetics of abandoned places.
I prefer modern horror movies (from early 2000s to 2020s, not older ones).

I know you said you prefer newer ones, but this 80's flick is worth a shot.

Midnight meat train has Bradley Cooper in it. He stalks a killer who butchers people underground on trains. It's one of the few movies that appear on a google search of underground movies. If you don't like my suggestion you could always google movies yourself, Hep.

For real, the moment i was thinking of which titles ofmovies to write about to exactly express the vibes of the movies i'm looking for, i was like "damn, i guess i'm forgetting some movie with elements of claustrophobia!" and there you are; Midnight Meat Train, one of my favourite horror movies of all time, lol!
It definitely fits all the criteria of what i'm looking for but i have watch it like 5 or 6 times already..

Same here! In my opinion, only the true great horror (or gore) movies can give you the creeps, i.e. i watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003s and 2006s versions and even after that i already knew what to expect from watching all the previous TCM movies, i still got scared af, almost like i never watched a sadistic body-modification horror movie before!
Midnight Meat Train is an excellent example of an "predicted but also unpredicted" movie just like TCM.
By the way, i don't search similar movies in Google search because Google's algorithm is kinda messed up, it always suggests you the same movie list, i.e. similar movies with Midnight Meat Train include (among others) The Collector, Wolf Creek (another masterpiece of horror!) , Hostel, Human Centipede, etc. , and in each of these movies, Google also suggest the others so it's a big database with keywords and all but in the end of the day, it's just that, a database, so no personal opinions of the viewers or their own personal ratings/comments of the movies they have watched, etc.
So if i ever want to find a movie similar with another, i either search it at TasteDive (similar
whatever, not just movies but books, music, videogames, etc.
recommendation) or at Reddit, there are some subreddits dedicated to movie suggestions and of course the /horrormovies main subreddit which is full of horror fans and gore enthusiasts. Sometimes i even ask for movie recommendations in actual gore sites (such as SeeGore, Kaotic, WatchPeopleDie, etc) because whoever watches real everyday gore is so desensitized to horror movies (so "light" compared with the real thing) so he or she is recommending a movie to your request without any bias or prejudice, just the best possible similar movie(s) to the one you asked for.

Vinnie Jones as well, his facial characteristics are just ideal for his role as the serial killer, even though the ending is still covered in mystery, like what were these bizarre creatures??
